Beautiful Transgender Brides

For some of them to be the bride was only a dream. But they were persistent in their desire. And that day comes.

Felix and Helen Fenlon’s wedding: Britain’s first double sex swap wedding. Felix said: “This is the first day of the life I always wanted to lead – as the right sex with the right person by my side.

Maxwell and Janis were so inspired by Felix and Helen’s courageous decision to make their wedding public they asked the Fenlon’s to be their best man and bridesmaid at a renewal of vows. Janis, who used to be Ian – said: “Maxwell is my soulmate.”

Daliah Husu, who was born Luis Miguel Morris, and her husband Ruben Husu. Daliah was just four years old when she realized she was different from other boys – she loved dressing up as a lady. She said: “My aunt used to call me ‘little woman’. It was her way of saying: ‘It’s ok, there’s nothing wrong with it’.”

Russian Trans and cisgender woman marry legally. Trans woman Irina Shumilova, hasn’t been able to amend her legal documents so when she married Alyona Fursova they broke no laws.

They did however set the author of the ‘gay propaganda’ law head spinning. The couple has used this fact to officially register their relationship because under the Family Code of Russia marriage is “a voluntary consent of a man and a woman.”

Ignacio Estrada and Wendy Iriepa (Born as Alexis), tied the knot in a simple civil ceremony on the same day as Fidel Castro’s 85th birthday. They called wedding a ‘gift’ to the former leader. Then, they draped themselves in the rainbow flag of gay pride to ride through the streets of Havana.

Joanne Cassar, the transgender woman who fought an eight-year legal battle for her right to marry – paving the way for others – became Joanne Sciberras Edwards with her new husband Kurstin.

Jamie Eagle and Louis Davies: The 21-year-old bride, Jamie, was born a boy and the 26-year-old groom, Louis, was born a girl. And given the pits of despair, they have both endured (and still do) along with their transgender journey, it was a day they often wondered would ever happen.“We thought long and hard before agreeing to it, because life is difficult enough for us, without TV cameras encroaching into our daily lives and struggles,” admits Louis. “But in the end, that was our motive for going ahead. We want people to have a sense of what our lives are really like so that when they talk about transgender issues, they are more informed.”

Trans Icon Janet Mock’s Dreamy Hawaiian Wedding: Transgender icon Janet Mock and Aaron Tredwell married on the island of Oahu. “I struggled to imagine what my big day would look like because I’d never let myself believe I’d have one. I never imagined I’d be a bride. – she said.

To that, the photographer groom, who proposed to Mock after five years of dating, said, “I know she felt that way, and I say it’s ridiculous. I’m the lucky one in this relationship. I’ll be forever grateful that she chose me.”

Transgender model Carmen Carrera and husband Adrian Torres.

“Honestly, knowing that I was going home a married woman gave me a sense of peace… This wedding has given us a sense of freedom to be proud of what we have and who we are. Celebrating our love and what we call our ‘modern, modern family,’ lets us know that we belong here and that we also have a place to raise a family of our own on our terms. We feel truly blessed.”

Trans Man – Accepting and Loving Oneself

FTM Relationship

One of the greatest challenges a Trans Man face is to accept, embrace and love oneself. To accept themselves for whom they are, their feelings and needs and accepting the fact that not everyone you hold dear to your heart will agree to all your decisions in every step of the way. But choosing to love and honor yourself as a Transgender Man, instead of trying to force others to do it for you every day is the best decision you could ever make in life. We have to understand that our greatest task is not about finding self-love; it’s about breaking down the walls we have built against it in order to know and love yourself, despite our humanness, our flaws, and our rejections. One of the greatest challenges an FTM Transgender Guy face is to accept, embrace and love oneself. To accept themselves for whom they are, their feelings and needs and accepting the fact that not everyone you hold dear to your heart will agree to all your decisions in every step of the way. But choosing to love and honor yourself as a Transgender Guy, instead of trying to force others to do it for you every day is the best decision you could ever make in life. We have to understand that our greatest task is not about finding self-love; it’s about breaking down the walls we have built against it in order to know and love yourself, despite our humanness, our flaws, and our rejections.

Ways to love oneself:

  • Tell yourself the things you love about you by believing in your abilities because you are a rare gem.

  • Start giving yourselves credit for everything you are and everything you’re about to become.

  • Avoid perfectionism because understanding nobody is perfect would make you happier and prevent you from making mistakes, so focus on being a better you by accepting who you are and embracing your flaws.

  • Holding a grudge against yourself is wrong, so one needs to let go and forgive their past mistakes. Always stay positive and overcome negative beliefs about yourself.

  • Building a strong connection with your inner self.

  • Work on your self-trust.

  • And most importantly, take care of yourself.

Earth is filled with over 7 Billion people; you shouldn’t feel lesser or subjected to accept the negative thoughts or opinions of other people. Be the best FTM Trans Guy you can be for yourself and the society, and also treat people the way you desire to be treated.

FTM Transgender GInstead of worrying yourself thinking “I am an incomplete human because I am an FTM Transgender Guy”, you need to think “I am an incredible, special, wonderful and beautiful human being with an overwhelming sense of touch and understanding and is capable of love. Believe you are a source of many wonderful things, and if you desire the need to remember what they are from time to time, make yourself a feel-good list. Keep coming back to the love that is inherently yours, it is your birthright and so it is. Value the good parts of you as well as the parts that you think needs improvement. Learn to admit judgment against yourself and soften those judgments, so that every part of yourself can be valued to highest level there is. Additionally, it is imperative you learn to commit yourself to shift your focus from judgment and criticism to tolerance and compassion. You are a victim of the beliefs you live by, you have the power to create a unique person out of yourself, don’t stop being the best Trans Man you can be.

We sometimes live in bondage of the mental cage we construct by ourselves, be free and love yourself for who you are.

Instead of believing in the idea of other people loving you, Understand the need to love yourself first.

Life as a Transgender

Life as a Transgender

When one decides they prefer a different gender than the one they were assigned at birth, it can seem a bit obvious and thrilling, but there are some challenges that come with that decision. Before undergoing the complete transgender procedure there is a lot of teaching and preparation that is given to the individual so that they may be ready to face the decision and the consequences of their actions. These will include both physical and mental preparations, though most individuals who undergo this procedure will be 100% positive about their decision even before challenges come. The most important factor is after the procedure when most individuals are ready to face the world. They want to show how relieved and happy they are to be what they have longed to be for such a long time. To do this, they need a program that shows them how to get used to their new lifestyle.

New Identity

Transgender Identity

After the course of treatment, the transgender individual gets to take a new identity card with their new, preferred name. It will also include a photo with their new features. Whether male or female it will be good for people to know the individual and get used to their new identity; the earlier they learn the better for everyone. The new identity also helps boost their confidence when they meet people as they get to introduce themselves without any fear or shyness.

Social and Voluntary Activities

Life as a Transgender

After the treatment, it is beneficial for the transgender person to get to socialize with individuals of their new gender by going out and experiencing different activities with different people. The transgender community has a great network and groups where individuals get to talk about their experiences, how they overcome discrimination from society, and how their friends and co-workers have come to accept them. Joining these groups is a must for transgender individuals as it helps them adapt faster and boost their confidence around people. Doing some community volunteer work also helps them to make people appreciate that they are not psycho, but are just normal humans who have made a certain choice about their life. This is also useful for getting full or part-time employment in the future, as it improves the understanding that nothing but the gender has changed; being transgender does not affect the working ability of an individual.

Eating Healthy

Apart from everything else, after the transgender procedure, individuals are required to eat well and live a healthy, fit lifestyle. They should try to eat food that will help boost the immune system and the reproductive system, as well as the urinary system so as to avoid complications in future such as infections and so on. Exercise is also recommended so as to strengthen the muscles due to the alterations and reconstruction that the body would have undergone. Finally, drinking plenty of water is very important.
